After a goalless first half, Marko Božić broke the deadlock in the 56th minute for 1-0. Jordi Sánchez doubled the lead four minutes later, assisted by Raoul Giger. GKS Katowice replied through Szymon Bartlewicz in the 79th minute, but couldn't find an equaliser.
Wisła were out-possessed (45% to 55%) and had fewer shots on target (three to four) but created the bigger chances, with an expected goals of 2.73 against 1.29. Their two big chances scored were enough to secure the win, despite Katowice's three saves to Wisła's one.
