Waltham Abbey thrashed Brantham Athletic 0-7 in the FA Cup first qualifying round. The visitors were effectively out of sight by half-time, with five goals scored before the 45-minute mark.
Aiden Read put Waltham Abbey ahead in the 12th minute and Bailey Stevenson made it 0-2 five minutes later. A third goal arrived in the 19th minute, Stevenson added his second of the afternoon on 35 minutes, and the fifth came on 40 to leave Brantham Athletic 0-5 down at the interval. Two more goals, in the 73rd and 90th minutes, completed the scoring.
Stevenson's brace was the standout individual contribution from the goalscoring records, while the speed of the early burst — three goals inside 19 minutes — set the tone for a one-sided afternoon. Brantham Athletic had no reply on the scoreboard as Waltham Abbey finished with a comprehensive 0-7 victory.
