Wallin took the first set with breaks in games 3 and 7, then lost it completely in the second as Papa broke twice, in games 2 and 6. The third swung back and forth: Wallin moved ahead with an early break at 2-0, Papa answered with a break at 5-4, and Wallin broke again in the 12th game to close it out.
The serve was the big separator for Wallin, who hit 10 aces overall, six in the final set, and won 75% of his first-serve points. Papa actually won more total points on the day, 87-83, and saved 70% of break points faced, but Wallin's decisive break was the difference.
