Wallin O. came from a set down to beat Colombo A. 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 in the Como men's singles event, turning the match around with a dominant second set and a deciding tiebreak.
Colombo edged the opener 6-3 after a series of breaks; Wallin broke at 1-1, 2-2 and 3-5. Wallin then rolled through the second set, breaking at 1-0, 3-0, 4-1 and 6-1. The decider went to 6-6 on a series of breaks, with Wallin breaking at 3-3, 4-4, 5-5 and 6-6 before taking the tiebreak.
Wallin won fewer service points overall (57-61) and faced nine aces from Colombo, but his returning was the difference: he won 37 return points to 28 and took 60% of Colombo's second serves (14/23).
