Dario Kreiker opened the scoring in the 37th minute from Erik Weinhauer's assist. Fabio Strauss doubled the lead just before the break in the 45th, with Romeo Vučić providing the assist. Nico Grimbs added a third in the 79th minute after Dominik Frieser set him up.
Blau Weiss Linz kept a clean sheet with FC Wacker Innsbruck unable to find a reply. Fabio Strauss and Nico Grimbs were booked in the second half, and Florian Kopp was shown a red card in the 90th minute.
