Vipers SC and FC Nouadhibou played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their CAF Champions League first qualifying round tie. The Ugandan side struck first but were pegged back before the half-hour mark.
Hilary Mukundane put Vipers ahead in the third minute with the opening goal. Sidi Ahmed Mohamed El Abd equalised for FC Nouadhibou in the 23rd minute. Neither side could find a winner in the time that followed.
Both goals arrived inside the opening 23 minutes, leaving the remainder of the game goalless. Vipers SC had the better possible start, but FC Nouadhibou responded quickly, and the tie stays evenly balanced.
