Varbergs BoIS beat IK Oddevold 3-1 in the Superettan, thanks to a blistering start that left the visitors chasing the game inside 13 minutes. Three goals in the opening quarter of an hour set the tone, and Oddevold could only pull one back.
Jonathan Nilsson opened the scoring after eight minutes, Morten Saetra doubled the lead three minutes later, and Nilsson struck again on 13 minutes to make it 3-0. Shahin Leonardo Farah pulled a goal back for Oddevold on the hour, but it was no more than a consolation. The match produced five yellow cards, including one for Farah, without any red.
The game was decided by that early burst, with Nilsson's brace the standout contribution. Oddevold kept going after Farah's goal but never looked like getting back on level terms.
