HamKam won 3-0 at Vålerenga in Eliteserien, helped by Henrik Bjørdal's red card which reduced the home side to ten men from the 15th minute. The visitors assumed control and scored once in each half.
Aksel Baran Potur put HamKam ahead in first-half stoppage time to make it 0-1. Martin Gjone doubled the lead in the 68th minute, and Patrick Metcalfe added a third in the 83rd to complete the win.
HamKam's dominance was clear in the numbers: 63% possession, 14 shots and an expected-goals total of 1.40 against Vålerenga's 0.64. Vålerenga still managed 12 shots despite playing with ten men, but only four were on target, with HamKam's goalkeeper making five saves.
