Vissel Kobe beat V-Varen Nagasaki 3-1 in the J.League, taking control from the second minute and never really letting go. Yuta Goke's double after Katsuya Nagato's early opener put the result beyond doubt before a late Nagasaki consolation.
Nagato swept home after two minutes to make it 1-0, then turned provider for Goke's first in the 34th minute. Goke added his second just after the interval, finishing from Nanasei Iino's pass in the 52nd minute, and Temmu Matsumoto's 90th-minute strike was no more than a late response. Motoki Hasegawa was booked in the 40th minute and Norman Campbell in the 89th.
Goke was the matchwinner, scoring twice either side of half-time. The stats underlined Kobe's dominance: they had 55% possession, 15 shots to eight, seven on target and created four big chances, while Nagasaki failed to create one. V-Varen's goalkeeper made four saves, but the damage had already been done.
