The deadlock was broken in the 62nd minute when Samuel Teles finished a move started by Ștefan Baiaram. Baiaram then turned scorer in the 87th minute, doubling the lead from Carlos Mora's assist, before Simon Elisor added a third just two minutes later, again set up by Mora. Din Alomerovic completed the rout in the 90th minute with an unassisted strike.
Craiova dominated the stats, holding 65% possession and registering 13 total shots to UTA's 8, while completing 519 accurate passes to their opponents' 239. The scoreline did not flatter the hosts, who turned patient build-up into a late flurry of goals.
