Universidad de Chile came from behind to beat Coquimbo Unido 4-2 in Primera Division. They dominated possession and shots throughout but trailed until the 86th minute before a dramatic late surge settled the tie in their favour.
Eduardo Vargas put Universidad ahead in the 63rd minute, but Benjamín Chandía levelled for Coquimbo eight minutes later. A Gabriel Castellón goal in the 82nd minute turned the match around, only for Juan Martín Lucero to equalise in the 86th and then strike again, with Octavio Rivero also scoring, in a frantic 90th minute that completed the comeback.
The home side’s control was clear: 61 per cent possession, 19 shots to 10 and 11 on target to 4. Coquimbo’s goalkeeper made eight saves, yet Universidad’s greater volume and late finishing told.
