Universidad de Chile came away with a 2-1 win over Audax Italiano in Primera Division, sealed by Eduardo Vargas's 77th-minute strike. The visitors had taken an early lead but were pegged back before Vargas decided it.
Agustin Arce put Universidad ahead in the 22nd minute with a finish from Eduardo Vargas's assist. Audax levelled in the 57th minute when Federico Mateos converted from Esteban Matus's pass, but Vargas grabbed the winner with a solo effort 13 minutes from time.
Audax Italiano had more total shots (13-10) and shots on target (5-4), and created two big chances to Universidad's none, yet the visitors were more clinical. Vargas contributed a goal and an assist, while Audax's Federico Mateos saw his equaliser go unrewarded.
