Louis Patris opened the scoring for Union in the 23rd minute after Mateo Biondic's pass. Kevin Mac Allister doubled the lead in the 55th minute, and Relebohile Mofokeng added the third eight minutes later, again from Biondic's delivery. The second goal effectively took the game away from the hosts.
