O'Higgins beat Unión La Calera 2-1 in Primera Division after two first-half goals gave them control. Arnaldo Castillo and Luis Pavez scored before half-time, and Sebastián Sáez's reply for the visitors was not enough to force a draw.
Castillo put O'Higgins ahead in the 33rd minute with Felipe Faúndez providing the assist, and Pavez doubled the lead from Bastián Yáñez's pass in the 39th. Sáez pulled one back for Unión La Calera on 59, Kevin Méndez with the assist, but the away side could not find an equaliser. Four yellow cards were shown after the 82nd minute.
O'Higgins controlled the ball, finishing with 59% possession and 454 accurate passes to Unión La Calera's 271. The shooting was close, however, with O'Higgins shading the total shots 13-12 and both teams registering five shots on target.
