James Trotter dominated Kokoro Isomura 6-1, 6-0 in the Winnipeg Men's Singles, losing only one game across the entire match. Trotter converted all four break points he created and saved both break points he faced, a perfect 100% on both sides of the return game.
The first set was decided by breaks at 3-1 and 5-1, with Trotter saving a break point in the opening game to hold. In the second set he never faced a break point, breaking Isomura at 1-0, 3-0 and 5-0 to seal the bagel. Trotter won ten consecutive games from 2-1 in the first set to the end of the match.
Trotter's serving was immaculate: he won 72% of first-serve points (21/29) and 63% of second-serve points (5/8). Isomura managed just 38% on his first serve and committed three double faults, factors that left him with only one hold of serve in six service games.
