Tondela beat FC Porto B 3-0 in the Segunda Liga, taking the points with goals in each half of the game. Arjen Van Der Heide gave the hosts the lead before the break, and later strikes from Tomané and João Marcos made the result safe.
Van Der Heide opened the scoring in the 29th minute, with Hugo Félix providing the assist. Tomané doubled the lead just after the restart in the 47th minute, set up by Carraça, and João Marcos added the third in the 87th minute from Xabi Huarte's pass. That second goal early in the second half gave Porto B a mountain to climb.
Arjen Van Der Heide was at the heart of the win, scoring the decisive opener and also going into the referee's book in the 40th minute. The contest was a busy one for the officials, with eight yellow cards in total, the first for Bernardo Lima as early as the 14th minute.
