Bernard Tomić came from a set down to beat Steve Johnson 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 in the first round of the ATP Challenger Lincoln. Tomić took control after dropping the opening-set tiebreak, converting three of his break chances across the final two sets to secure the win.
The first set went to a tiebreak with no breaks of serve, which Johnson edged. Tomić responded by breaking at 5-3 in the second set to level the match. In the decider, Tomić broke twice — at 3-2 and then at 5-2 — to close out the victory.
Tomić’s first-serve percentage was a perfect 100% in the opening set, winning all four points behind it. He did not drop a service game throughout the match.
