Pumas UNAM came from behind to beat Toluca 2-1 in the Primera Division, Apertura. After falling behind to an early goal, they scored twice in the second half to overturn the deficit.
Jorge Díaz put Toluca ahead in the 14th minute with a finish set up by Helinho. Victor Arteaga equalised for Pumas in the 57th minute from Robert Morales' assist, and Sebastián Córdova completed the turnaround six minutes later, latching on to Rodrigo Lopez's pass. Helinho was booked in the 17th minute and Lopez received a yellow in the 80th.
Toluca had 66% possession and 16 total shots to Pumas' eight, but the visitors were more clinical, scoring with two of their three shots on target. Despite creating more big chances (three to one) and a higher expected goals tally (1.19 to 0.66), Toluca could not find a second equaliser.
