Nihon University thrashed Toin University of Yokohama 6-0 in the Japan Regional League, scoring six unanswered goals. Toin had more of the ball with 53% possession, but Nihon were devastating in front of goal.
The visitors opened the scoring on 19 minutes and doubled their lead on 50 after a goalless start to the second half. Further goals arrived on 62, 71, 76 and 86 minutes, while the match also featured a red card on 66 and four yellow cards.
Nihon's victory was built on ruthless finishing rather than control: they scored six times from only 47% possession, with neither side earning a corner. Four goals in the final 25 minutes put an emphatic gloss on the scoreline.
