Tauron KH GKS Katowice beat HC Prešov 4-2 in regulation, with the decisive damage coming in a three-goal second period. The visitors moved ahead 3-1 by the intermission and never relinquished the lead.
A goalless first period gave way to a busy middle frame. Katowice opened the scoring at 28, but Prešov equalised at 31; Katowice then seized control with goals at 35 and 36 to take a 1-3 lead into the break. Prešov answered early in the third at 46, yet Katowice restored the two-goal margin at 59 to close out the result.
The game turned on Katowice’s middle-period surge, which accounted for three of its four goals. Their quick counter after Prešov’s equaliser — strikes at 35 and 36 — proved decisive.
