Talleres thrashed Platense 4-0 in the Superliga, taking the lead just before half-time before pulling away with three goals in eight minutes after the break. Despite Platense firing 21 shots to Talleres' eight, Talleres converted four of their seven shots on target while Platense failed to score from any of their eight attempts.
Rick put Talleres ahead in the 43rd minute. After the interval, Valentin Depietri doubled the lead in the 69th minute from Rick's assist, Rick added a third four minutes later, and Franco Cristaldo sealed the win in the 77th minute from Matias Galarza's pass.
Rick was the standout, scoring twice and setting up another, while the Talleres goalkeeper also played a decisive role with eight saves to deny Platense's eight shots on target. The expected-goals figures told a similar story: 2.28 for Talleres against 0.90 for Platense.
