HC Davos defeated Storhamar Ishockey 3-2 in overtime in Champions Hockey League play, with Rasmus Asplund delivering the winner in the 65th minute. Enzo Corvi drew the assist as Davos avoided an upset after the teams finished regulation deadlocked.
All five goals were packed into the opening 12 minutes. Storhamar opened the scoring at 5:00 through Austin Cangelosi, assisted by Jacob Berglund, but Filip Zadina answered immediately and then scored again at 8:00 to put Davos up 2-1. Joe Gatenby tied it for Storhamar at 12:00 with help from Eirik Salsten, and neither side broke through in the second or third period before Asplund settled it in overtime.
Zadina was the offensive catalyst with two goals in the first eight minutes, accounting for both of Davos' regulation markers. Asplund's extra-frame finish completed the comeback from an early one-goal deficit and sent Davos through with the 3-2 decision.
