Birmingham City and Southampton shared the points in a 1-1 Championship draw. Southampton led at the break through Keven Schlotterbeck, but August Priske's equaliser ten minutes into the second half earned Birmingham a point.
Schlotterbeck put Southampton ahead on 45 minutes, assisted by Leo Scienza. Birmingham responded on 55 minutes when August Priske converted from Patrick Roberts' pass. The home side then created the better chances, missing three big opportunities.
Southampton controlled possession, with 63 per cent of the ball and 408 accurate passes to Birmingham's 194, yet the home side had more shots, 15 to 13, and more big chances, 4 to 1. Both goalkeepers made three saves. Neither side managed a second goal, and the points were shared.
