ŠK Slovan Bratislava took control of their Champions League third-round qualifying tie with a 2-0 win over Mjällby AIF. Both goals came after the break, with Sandro Cruz providing the assist on each occasion.
Suleiman Camara opened the scoring two minutes into the second half, firing Slovan ahead from Cruz's delivery. Alasana Yirajang doubled the lead in the 78th minute, again set up by Cruz, to give the home side a comfortable advantage.
Possession was evenly split at 50-50, but Slovan were the more dangerous side in front of goal, registering four shots on target to Mjällby's two. The visitors had more corners and forced a handful of saves, yet Slovan's finishing made the difference.
