Siniaková broke in game two of the opener to lead 2-0 and closed out the set at 6-3. She then broke in games one and three of the second set to move 3-0 clear, and after Cocciaretto pulled one break back at 1-3, Siniaková broke again at 2-5 to finish the match.
The key was her serving under pressure: Siniaková won 77% of points behind her first serve compared to Cocciaretto's 57%, and her 52 total points to 35 highlighted the gap between the two. Even six double faults could not derail a display built on clean first-strike tennis.
