Dalian Zhixing FC beat Liaoning Shenyang Urban 1-0 in the CFA Super League. Nicolae Stanciu's 15th-minute goal was the difference, with Dalian registering three shots on target to the visitors' one. Liaoning enjoyed more possession but could not find a way through.
Stanciu opened the scoring in the 15th minute, finishing after Lü Zhuoyi's assist. That proved decisive, as the game finished with just the one goal. The second half was broken up by bookings for Zhang Hongfu, Ximing Pan and Cephas Malele, yet neither side altered the score.
The numbers show Dalian were the more dangerous side despite conceding the ball. They had 11 shots to Liaoning's five, three on target to one, and created the only big chance of the game. Liaoning's 54% possession and 281 accurate passes counted for little in the final reckoning.
