Shanghai Port came from behind to beat Qingdao Hainiu 2-1 in the CFA Super League, with Wu Lei scoring twice to overturn an early deficit. Carlos Strandberg had put Qingdao ahead before Wu Lei levelled just before half-time and then struck the winner after the break.
Strandberg opened the scoring for Qingdao Hainiu in the 16th minute. Wu Lei responded for Shanghai Port in the 44th minute, finishing after an assist from Xi Yang Alex, and then completed the turnaround with his second goal in the 67th minute. A flurry of yellow cards followed, but the scoreline stayed with Shanghai Port.
Wu Lei’s brace proved decisive, and the numbers show Shanghai Port were the more dominant side: they had 59% possession, 11 shots to Qingdao’s 10, and four shots on target to their opponents’ two. Qingdao Hainiu pushed hard and committed 18 fouls, but they could not find another equaliser.
