Dalian Zhixing FC took control of this CFA Super League clash with a commanding 3-1 victory over Shandong Taishan. They were the more dangerous side throughout, creating plenty of chances and converting three of them.
Frank Acheampong opened the scoring in the 16th minute after a fine assist from Cephas Malele, and Malele himself made it 2-0 six minutes later. Valeri Qazaishvili pulled one back for Shandong just before half-time, but Nicolae Stanciu restored Dalian's two-goal lead in the 56th minute with help from Acheampong.
The statistics underline Dalian's dominance: they had 11 shots on target to Shandong's six, created eight big chances to just one for the visitors, and won the possession battle 53% to 47%. Shandong goalkeeper made eight saves to keep the scoreline respectable, but Dalian were well worth the win.
