Thiago Seyboth Wild overpowered Philip Henning 6-1, 7-6 in the ATP Challenger Zug first round, powered by a dominant serve and early breaks in both sets. The Brazilian converted three of four break points and saved 75% of the break points he faced.
Seyboth Wild broke in the second and fourth games of the opening set to build a 4-0 lead, sealing the set 6-1. In the second set, he broke immediately for 1-0, but Henning levelled at 4-4 after converting his only break chance. The set went to a tiebreak, where Seyboth Wild edged ahead with a mini-break at 6-7 to close the match.
Seyboth Wild's serve was the decisive factor: he hit 10 aces, won 77% of first‑serve points and lost just one service game across the match. Henning managed only one break from nine opportunities and was outplayed on return, winning just 23% of first‑serve return points.
