Austin FC left Seattle with a 2-1 win after scoring twice in the second half. Facundo Torres and Guilherme Biro struck late to put the visitors in control before Stuart Hawkins gave the home side hope in stoppage time.
Torres broke the deadlock on 66 minutes, turning in a cross from Žan Kolmanič. Biro made it 2-0 three minutes from time, converting Brandon Vazquez's setup, and Hawkins pulled one back in the 90th from Albert Rusnák's pass, but Seattle could not find an equaliser. Kalani Kossa-Rienzi was booked in the 48th minute.
Seattle had 19 shots to Austin's 12, but Austin's goalkeeper made six saves to keep them ahead. The visitors also edged possession with 54%, and although Seattle pushed hard late on, they could not force a second goal.
