CD Cinfães knocked SC Espinho out of the Taça de Portugal first round with a 1-0 win. The only goal arrived in the 25th minute, and Cinfães made it stand for the rest of the match.

Four yellow cards were shown after the 73rd minute, followed by a red card in stoppage time. Espinho's frustration showed late on, but Cinfães held on to claim the narrow victory.
