CD Guadalajara beat Santos Laguna 1-0 in the Primera Division, Apertura with a late goal from Ricardo Marín. The forward struck in the 75th minute to settle a tight contest.
The only goal came on 75 minutes when Ricardo Marín found the net to make it 0-1. Santos Laguna had threatened before that but failed to breach the Guadalajara defence. The home side pressed for an equaliser after falling behind, but the visitors held on.
Guadalajara dominated the ball with 61% possession and had five shots on target to Santos Laguna's two. They also edged the expected goals count, 1.08 to 0.75, though Santos Laguna did manage 11 shots in total. Mauricio Cuevas was booked in the 90th minute as Guadalajara saw out the win.
