SK Rapid Wien thumped FC Santa Coloma 6-2 in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League, powered by a hat-trick from Ercan Kara. The Austrian side dominated from start to finish, taking an early lead and never looking back despite a brief fightback from the visitors.
Ercan Kara opened the scoring in the 10th minute from Bendegúz Bolla's assist, and Petter Nosakhare Dahl doubled the lead in the 24th minute. Santa Coloma pulled one back through José María Gutiérrez Bellido in the 30th minute, but Rapid restored their two-goal cushion just three minutes later when Kara scored again from Matthias Seidl's pass. Kara completed his hat-trick in the 63rd minute, and further goals from Nenad Cvetković and Nikolaus Wurmbrand made it 6-1 before Roberto Rodríguez grabbed a late consolation for the visitors.
Rapid's attacking efficiency was the key story: they had 14 total shots, 10 on target, and created seven big chances, scoring six of them. Ercan Kara's hat-trick was the highlight, with the forward assisted by Bolla twice and Seidl once.
