Sagan Tosu beat Ventforet Kofu 2-0 in J.League 2. Toshiki Takahashi and Yudai Tanaka scored the goals that decided the match. Ventforet Kofu were unable to find a way back.
Takahashi put Sagan Tosu ahead in the 42nd minute with the opening goal. Yudai Tanaka doubled the lead in the 87th minute to wrap up the win. Sho Araki had been booked early on, in the 3rd minute.
The decisive moment came just before half-time, with Takahashi's goal giving the home side a lead they never surrendered. Yudai Tanaka's late second removed any doubt about the result.
