Toin University of Yokohama FC secured a 2-0 victory over Ryutsu Keizai Dragons Ryugasaki in the Japan Regional League, despite enjoying only 40% possession. An early goal put them in front and a late strike sealed the win.
The home side took the lead in the 12th minute with the first goal of the match. Ryutsu Keizai Dragons Ryugasaki pushed for an equaliser but could not find a way through. Toin University doubled their advantage in the 87th minute to make the game safe.
The Dragons dominated the ball with 60% possession and earned nine corner kicks to Toin's four, but the Toin backline held firm. The home side's efficiency proved decisive, scoring twice from limited opportunities.
