Real Bedford eased into the next round of the FA Cup with a 4-1 victory over Royston Town in their first qualifying round tie. They were two goals to the good by half-time and then added a third soon after the hour to take full control.
Conor Tee opened the scoring in the 14th minute, and Archie Jones doubled the lead in the 41st. Jordan Ponticelli made it 3-0 in the 60th minute, and although Archie Locke pulled one back for Royston Town in the 82nd minute, Real Bedford restored their three-goal cushion with a fourth goal two minutes later.
Real Bedford's most important work was done in the first half, when Conor Tee and Archie Jones gave them a platform they never looked like surrendering. Royston Town's reply came too late to change the outcome, as the home side immediately hit back and cruised through.
