Sint-Truidense VV won 4-1 away against Royal Antwerp FC in First Division A. Ryotaro Araki’s ninth-minute opener was cancelled by Snayder Porozo, but three late goals after the hour sealed the result.
Araki struck early to make it 0-1, and Porozo levelled for Antwerp in the 58th minute. Samed Baždar restored the visitors’ lead in the 73rd, Kaito Matsuzawa added a third three minutes later, and Baždar completed his brace in the 90th. Ryan Merlen set up the second and third goals, with Ilias Sebaoui assisting the fourth.
The scoreline was a reflection of chances created. Sint-Truidense had only 42% possession and matched Antwerp’s 18 shots, but their expected goals were 3.26 to 0.77 and they created six big chances to none. Royal Antwerp had eight shots on target and more accurate passes, yet the visitors’ goalkeeper made six saves.
