Red Bull Salzburg beat Austria Wien 4-1 in the Bundesliga, taking control with three goals inside the opening half hour. Kang-hee Lee, Haris Tabaković and Bartosz Mazurek all scored before Austria Wien could settle, and Salzburg's 70% possession set the tone.
Lee struck in the 13th minute, Tabaković doubled the lead from Nikolas Veratschnig's pass six minutes later, and Mazurek made it 3-0 on 31 after Abubakr Barry's assist. Manfred Fischer pulled one back for Austria Wien early in the second half, but Yorbe Vertessen answered within eight minutes to make it 4-1.
Salzburg finished with 12 shots to seven and four big chances to one, although they also missed two of those big chances. Dominik Schmid and Matteo Schablas were both booked in a match Salzburg controlled throughout.
