Bahia beat Red Bull Bragantino 3-2 in the Brasileiro Série A, fighting back from Lucas Barbosa's early goal and retaking the lead after Red Bull Bragantino had levelled just before the interval. Erick struck early in the second half to make it 3-2, and that proved the winner.
Lucas Barbosa put Red Bull Bragantino ahead in the 14th minute. Luciano Juba levelled in the 34th, Alejo Veliz made it 2-1 in the 38th, and Santiago Ramos Mingo pulled the home side level again in the 45th. Erick scored in the 50th minute, with Rodrigo Nestor providing the assist for that goal as well as Veliz's earlier strike.
Bragantino had 19 shots to Bahia's 11 and nine on target to Bahia's five, but Bahia's goalkeeper made eight saves and the visitors were more clinical. Bahia created six big chances to Bragantino's two and scored from three of them, with expected goals of 2.36 against 1.36. Possession was close at 53% to 47%, yet Bragantino could not turn their greater volume of attempts into a point.
