Atlético Mineiro and Red Bull Bragantino played out a 2-2 draw in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana Round of 16 first leg. Twice Bragantino went ahead, but a stoppage-time equaliser earned Mineiro a share of the spoils.
Eric Ramires put Bragantino ahead in first-half stoppage time, and Maycon levelled seven minutes after the break. Eduardo Sasha restored Bragantino's lead in the 81st minute, only for Atlético Mineiro to rescue a 2-2 draw with a 90th-minute goal.
The numbers favoured Bragantino, who had 56% possession, 17 shots to 11 and eight on target to four, yet they had to settle for a draw. Atlético Mineiro goalkeeper made seven saves, and the visitors' two big chances were both scored.
