Atletico Madrid C beat Real Ávila CF 2-1, taking the points despite being outplayed for long spells. Real Ávila controlled possession and created more chances, but Atletico’s early lead and a swift second-half goal proved decisive.
Shadrack Addo put Atletico ahead in the 11th minute, and Martin Cuellar doubled the lead on 55 minutes. Real Ávila responded immediately through Antonio Molina four minutes later, but could not find an equaliser.
The visitors dominated the stats, with 59% possession, 11 corner kicks and eight shots on target to Atletico’s three. Atletico, however, were clinical with their chances and held on for a valuable home win.
