Daris Djezic put Rapid Wien II ahead on 41 minutes, turning in an assist from Ensar Music. SPG Wels equalised through Nicolas Keckeisen on 55, with Tolgahan Sahin providing the assist, but Kerschbaum's late strike restored the lead and secured the points.
Kerschbaum's winner was the standout moment, arriving after a tight contest for much of the second half. The match also featured yellow cards for Isa Drammeh on 65 minutes and Kilian Schrocker in stoppage time.
