Millwall are through to the next round of the EFL Cup after beating Queens Park Rangers 2-0 on penalties, the tie finishing 1-1 after 90 minutes. Luke Cundle's second-half strike looked like being enough for the visitors until Mark Sykes equalised late on.
Cundle broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute, and QPR pushed forward in search of an equaliser. Sykes delivered it in the 86th minute, and the shootout followed as Millwall kept their composure to win it 2-0.
QPR dominated possession with 56% and managed 11 shots to Millwall's five, but they could only put three on target. Millwall were clinical with their one big chance, while QPR missed theirs, and that edge in the shootout decided the tie.
