Qingdao West Coast and Chengdu Rongcheng shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in the CFA Super League. Nelson Luz’s early strike put the hosts ahead, but Felipe Silva’s second-half equaliser ensured the points were split.
Luz opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, giving Qingdao a lead they held until the 76th minute when Silva levelled for the visitors. The match was punctuated by six yellow cards, with Elnizar Lohman, Yu Dong, Shihao Wei, Ming Yang Yang, Davidson and Xinli Peng all booked.
Chengdu dominated possession with 67% and had 13 total shots to Qingdao’s 10, but both sides managed only two shots on target each. The visitors also missed a big chance, while Qingdao converted their only one – a statistic that explains the stalemate.
