Song Wenjie scored one and set up two more as Qingdao Hainiu held off Yunnan Yukun 4-2 in a breathless first half, the result setting up a home meeting with Chengdu Rongcheng next. What looked like a routine afternoon quickly disintegrated into chaos as both sides traded blows inside the opening forty-five minutes.
