Yulia Putintseva defeated Lola Radivojevic 6-4, 7-5 in Bastad, converting five of six break points to overcome a gritty opponent. The Kazakh held a clear edge on return, winning 42 receiver points to 30 and breaking serve three times in the first set.
Putintseva broke early in both sets but never led by more than a single break. She saved three of four break points in the second set while Radivojevic saved nine of 11, yet the Kazakh broke decisively to close out the match after 1 hour 40 minutes.
Putintseva landed 85% of her first serves (61 of 72) and won 57% of those points, while Radivojevic's double faults (five) proved costly. The victory was built on return efficiency rather than serve dominance.
