Badosa broke to love in the second game of the first set for 2-0, then added a second break at 1-5 to close the opener. In the second set, she broke in the third game for 2-1 and again at 2-5, never facing a break point across the entire match. Putintseva, despite landing 89% of first serves in the second set, could only win 52% of those points.
Badosa fired eight aces to Putintseva's one and won 50% of her return points (19 of 38), underlining her complete control from the baseline. The victory improved her record in Sweden and showcased her sharpest form of the clay season.
