S. Purtseladze beat R. Albot 6-1, 6-4 at the ATP Challenger Istanbul II, powered by strong serving and timely breaks. He hit 10 aces, saved four of five break points, and converted three break chances of his own.
Purtseladze broke in game two and game six to close out the opening set 6-1. The second set was tighter: Purtseladze broke in game three, Albot answered immediately to make it 2-2, and the decisive break came in game nine at 4-5 before Purtseladze served out the match.
The standout number was Purtseladze's work behind his first delivery: he won 69% of those points and collected 33 service points overall to Albot's 22. Albot landed 68% of his first serves but won just 50% of those points and converted only one of four break opportunities.
