União Leiria edged out Portimonense 1-0 in the Segunda Liga, with José Nabil's goal just before half-time proving decisive. It was a scrappy, booking-strewn opening period, as three yellow cards were shown inside the first 41 minutes.
The game turned in the 44th minute when Nabil finished from Maga's assist to make it 1-0. Portimonense never found an equaliser, and Maga's 64th-minute yellow card was the only notable incident after the restart.
Nabil's strike was the difference between the sides in a tight, low-scoring contest. With no further goals, Leiria collected the three points and Portimonense were left to rue a narrow defeat.
