Piast Gliwice took all three points with a 2-0 win at Motor Lublin in Ekstraklasa. The visitors controlled much of the contest, holding 59% possession and creating the clearer openings. Juande Rivas broke the deadlock in the 78th minute, and Motor never recovered.
Motor Lublin had more shots overall, 15 to 13, but could only put one on target. Piast's pressure finally told when Rivas scored to make it 0-1, and the scoreline stayed with the away side. Quentin Boisgard, who was booked for Motor in the 33rd minute, could not stop Piast's momentum.
Piast were the sharper side in front of goal, with six shots on target to Motor's one and five big chances to Motor's one. They also finished with the higher expected-goals figure, 1.57 to 1.00, and forced four saves from the Motor goalkeeper.
